Russian Harvest builds and strengthens family farming communities, joyfully centered around churches, built on the foundation of healthy communal spiritual life.

We belong to the Orthodox Church, reflecting a rich history of faith. This church brought Christianity to Europe 2000 years ago, and has been in Russia for over 1000 years.

We believe that large families, close-knit communities, and closeness to nature, grounded in faith, are optimal for a strong, healthy, citizenry.

Christian communities with small, sustainable, family farms lend themselves well to these ideals, producing children and adults who are healthy in body, mind, and soul. These communities are a great advantage to Russia, because they produce a large number of healthy citizens.

We are based near Rostov the Great, Russia. This area is north of Moscow, and is not to be confused with Rostov-on-Don, which is in southern Russia. Rostov is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved ancient Russian towns.

This region is ecologically pristine, and it has a rich history, culture, and Christian spiritual life.

Farms are very inexpensive compared to Europe and America, and the land is well-suited to sustainable, bio-diverse, ecology-friendly farming.

We are a registered Russian non-profit. Our primary activity is disbursing loans to family farms in our communities. The loans are interest-free, in keeping with Christian teaching.

We also restore old churches and build new ones, and we assist families both inside and outside Russia with the cost of moving to our communities.
